The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 5 August 2021: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Wasn’t that a nice surprise for you today if you weren’t expecting waves. Lines were starting to show last night before sundown.

And aren’t Sydney folks fortunate (assuming that the coast is within your exercise limit).. in having a rather unique stretch of coastline that presents North/South surf options in close proximity (assuming they’re within your current exercise limit).

Those with the requisite fitness and skills were able to get in the water at places open to the long period south swell, while there were other more sheltered options for other people… thanks to the long period south swell.

While it’ll be easing back overnight, the outlook is for continuing medium to smaller surf all week.

However, water temp is currently about 18 ish, which is not considered ideal by some of us, especially when combined with fresh offshore winds (ideal though they may be).

TG would prefer it ideally to be a sort of Hawaii-ish/Maldives-ish 28, like it currently is in those places. But here, it ain’t. Funny how he didn’t used to notice it so much..Maybe he used to be somewhere like Hawaii.. haha

Anywho… TG has decided to extend Kind July thinking into Appy August…(ie not Angry August).

No point getting yourself upset about something that is what it ain’t…

And you can think about that on as many levels as you like ????

Friday: easing back overnight and the day through the 1-2 metre range dead South

Saturday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range dead South

Sunday: ditto

Monday: 1-2 metre range South East

Tuesday: 1-2 metre range East South East

Wednesday: around 1-ish metres North East

Thursday: dittoish

Stay safe – in and out of the water.

Keep smiling – you’ll feel better for it~~~~~~~~~~~~~

TG.

Down in the Sea

Water temp is about 18 ish.

Not good for us Chicken Goats (?!?) who prefer something around 28 ish … which it would be if you were in Hawaii right now, but you’re not…or the Maldives, and ditto. Never mind.
