No sign of swell this morning
Hello Friends,
As usual, the picture tells the story. No surfin’ for you this morning at Dee Why. It looked to be too small to ride at all. There’s a little bit of south wind bump offshore, but it’s only 5 seconds apart, so the 10-15 kts of NW wind is keeping it out there.
The swell models agree that we’re not going to get anything today, but that some straight south swell in the 2 metre range at 11 seconds should fill in overnight. It promises to be windy, but offshore and potentially pretty solid at south magnets. Energy looks set to fade back pretty quickly, but there should be a morning session to be had on Friday.
Stay safe, take the mask and have a good one.
Weather Situation
A cold front has moved to the Tasman Sea with vigorous west to southwesterly winds in its wake. An associated low pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea will maintain fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds today, easing as the low moves toward New Zealand in the second half of the week.
