It’s on and everybody’s on it

0 8

Hello Friends,

Light westerly wind, clearing skies and pumping swell. Apart from the plague, what’s not to like? Water looked pretty busy at Dee Why, but you get that when it’s head and a bit on sets and really clean. Swell at sea is 2 metres but it’s packing a punch because the period is running along at close to 16 seconds from 157°. Tide was low at 0745 and will be back to a moderate 1.38 m high at 1400.

Wind should stay offshore this morning, before drifting around to the NE in the afternoon. Along the way we could see the odd shower.

Outlook? Well, the Goat will be along later with his usual prognostications, but from a cursory glance at the models, it’s still looking as though we’re in for 4-5 days of good to very good surf conditions. So woohoo!

Take the mask with you when you go out to get your surf exercise and stay safe. Oh, and beginners, not really a day for you at exposures like Dee Why. Know your limits!
