Showery skies and waves for the keen

0 35

Hello Friends,

A showery day coming up for Sydney, but if you’re keen, there are definitely waist to chest high waves to be had at Dee Why.

Swell at sea was 1.8 metres at 14 seconds from 175°, so despite being dead south, the waves are refracting into east facing stretches thanks to the long period.

Speaking of long periods, the models are predicting an impressive 16-18 second pulse midweek. Right now it looks as though they should reach that peak tomorrow afternoon before dialing back into the 14-15 sec range on Thursday. Wind should be offshore from Wednesday onward and it looks as though swell will be chugging along in the 2 metre range as it swings to the east by Friday. Oh yeah, and ocean is still on 19C.

Have a top Tuesday!
