Hello Friends,
At 0730 wind was light WNW at 9-11 kts down at North Head. Water is sitting on 18C and as of 0600 the MHL buoy was seeing 1.7 metres of 13 second period SSE swell. Weather was sunny, water clean and waves at magnets should be in the chest to shoulder range on the bigger ones. Tide will be high at 0955, so get down there and have some fun!

I’m back to the waveless part of Cali, but if you were in southern Orange county, you’d be looking at another day of head high plusses at magnets like Lower Trestles. Wind chewing it up by lunch time, but by then you should be surfed out. Also looks okay up north in Santa Cruz – but the water’s 15 or so…

Weather Situation

West to southwesterly winds will generally ease by late today as a large high pressure system moves over New South Wales. North to northwesterly winds then develop from Saturday or Sunday as the high moves over the Tasman Sea and a cold front approaches from the west.
