Hello Friends, After waiting out another downpour, I swung aloft to the RealSurf crows nest and grabbed a few snaps of the situation at around 0830. As you can see, the ocean’s looking pretty rugged. The south wind kicked in around 1100 yesterday, blew all night and as of 0830 was SSW at 12-20 kts.

Hello Friends, There were waves to be had this morning at Dee Why but, as you can see, the 8-12 kt ESE wind was making a mess of the tide-affected 1.6 metre, 11-sec east swell. There were chest-plus wave faces to be found, so it wasn’t totally hopeless.
