Bills Reporters Shocked by How Dominant This Bears Player Looked
The Chicago Bears gained valuable reps during Friday’s joint practice against the Buffalo Bills, but one player in particular stole the show — wide receiver Rome Odunze. His performance didn’t just impress Bears media and fans, it even left some Bills reporters stunned.
Ryan Talbot of New York Upstate went as far as to predict Odunze will have a “monster season” after what was described as a dominant red-zone session. Odunze hauled in back-to-back touchdowns from Caleb Williams. As Greg Braggs detailed, the first score came on a beautifully executed play where Odunze crossed the back of the end zone wide open thanks to perfect protection, with Braxton Jones at left tackle. The second was a quick out to the left side, where Odunze rolled in for the touchdown.
Talbot wasn’t the only Bills reporter impressed. Another member of the media told me he “wouldn’t be surprised if Rome goes for over 1,000 yards,”. He was impressed with Odunze’s combination of speed, route-running, and size — exactly what you’d expect from a top-10 pick.

It’s no secret that Odunze’s chemistry with Caleb Williams has grown. But seeing this kind of praise from outside Halas Hall is very encouraging. Now the question is whether this connection will carry over to the regular season.
