This is the UFC Vegas 104 live blog for Marvin Vettori vs. Roman Dolidze 2, the middleweight main event Saturday in Las Vegas.
A staple of the UFC’s middleweight division for nearly a decade, Vettori is still a major concern in the 185-pound title picture. A one-time middleweight title challenger, “The Italian Dream” is currently the No. 8-ranked fighter in the division. Unfortunately, Vettori hasn’t been the most active recently, having just once fight since winning the first matchup with Dolidze back in 2023.
A UFC fighter since 2020, Dolidze is a proven commodity in the middleweight division, but has yet to establish himself as a legitimate title threat. His first matchup with Vettori was Dolidze’s opportunity to prove just that, but he fell short and then dropped a majority decision to Nassourdine Imavov. Since then though, “The Caucasian” has been in good form, beating Anthony Smith and Kevin Holland to earn another crack at Vettori.
