Can you guess size of 'beast' rattlesnake caught in Arizona?
A man famous for handling venomous snakes on camera has shared throwback footage showing him displaying “the BIGGEST rattlesnake I have ever seen.”
Jaden Klein asked his 164,000 Instagram followers if they can guess the size of the western diamondback rattlesnake and provided these options: 5 feet, 6 feet, 7 feet, or 8 feet?
As of Wednesday, Klein had yet to provide an answer but his footage (posted below) reveals a reptile whose girth is as impressive as its length.
One of the top comments: “Are you tired of living?”
An exuberant Klein boasts in the footage: “I am so excited. Look at that thing. Oh my god! What a beast!
“He hasn’t struck at me, but he struck at the cameraman earlier, and he is just an absolute beast of animal!”
The snake was found at a den site along with four other rattlesnakes.
Klein didn’t reveal the location, but a look at previous posts reveals that he caught the snake two years ago in Arizona and estimated its length at “just under 6 feet.”
The average size of an adult western diamondback rattlesnake is between 4 and 6 feet. Heftier snakes can weigh nearly 15 pounds, but the average weight is three to six pounds.
