CHELSEA have reportedly agreed to sign St Etienne midfielder Mathis Amougou.
However, he is set to go straight out on loan.
Chelsea have agreed to sign Mathis Amougou[/caption]The Telegraph claims Chelsea have reached an agreement worth over £10million with St Etienne for the 19-year-old.
Amougou joined the French side’s youth set-up in 2021 and broke into the first team two years later.
The midfielder has since made 19 appearances but is yet to score or provide any assists.
Amougou has also been capped seven times by France’s Under-19s.
When his move to Chelsea is completed, the teenager is expected to be loaned back out immediately to RC Strasbourg, according to L’Equipe.
Strasbourg is also under Todd Boehly‘s BlueCo ownership so the club has a close relationship with Chelsea.
Djordje Petrovic and Andrey Santos are both currently on loan at the Ligue 1 side from the Blues.
Chelsea could also see some players leave before the transfer window slams shut.
