SNL cold open tackled MSNBC, the TikTok ban and The Rizzler
Saturday Night Live returned after a short break, bringing comedian Dave Chappelle in to host. With the second Inauguration of Donald Trump right around the corner, the cold open naturally went with a political skit. This time, the sketch comedy opened with an MSNBC panel hosted by Sarah Sherman’s Rachel Maddow.
The panel hit on the Los Angeles fires, the inauguration and outlandish breaking news before cutting to James Austin Johnson as Trump during a press conference on the TikTok ban.
“Yes, we love TikTok, don’t we?” Johnson’s Trump, said from a podium. “We love TikTok. We used to hate it, but then it, quite frankly, in many ways, got me elected.”
He went on to mention The Rizzler before welcoming out Bowen Yang as George Santos. Check out the full intro here:
