The Blackhawks missing out on the 2024 NHL Draft's top pick thrilled NHL fans

0 2

The 2024 NHL Draft order is set, and hockey fans won’t have to worry about the Chicago Blackhawks making yet another first-overall pick.

After Chicago landed Connor Bedard in the 2023 NHL Draft with the top pick, the team was in position on Tuesday evening to land yet another first-overall selection, one that will presumably go toward star Boston University forward Macklin Celebrini.

Well, the ball didn’t bounce in Chicago’s favor this time, as the San Jose Sharks earned the top pick and the chance to draft Celebrini in late June.

As you could imagine, NHL fans (that don’t root for the Blackhawks) were thrilled that Chicago didn’t get the first pick again (even if, y’know, they’ll still pick second, which is very good). Take the wins when you get them!
