Cowboys S Jayron Kearse sacked Kirk Cousins, then taunted fans with the Vikings' 'Skol' clap

The Minnesota Vikings are having a very bad Week 11. At the time of publication, they have more than 21 minutes remaining in a vital home showdown against the Dallas Cowboys. Per ESPN, their win percentage sits at a robust 0.2 percent.

That’s because the Cowboys have thoroughly dominated the 8-1 Vikings, mashing Kirk Cousins with a punishing pass rush, stopping stars like Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook and roasting the Minnesota defense with star performances from Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott. Things got so bad CBS turned its national broadcast over to the Cincinnati Bengals-Pittsburgh Steelers game at 6:45 ET despite the fact Cowboys-Vikings was still midway through the third quarter.

This is all to say there were plenty of rough moments for the home crowd in Minneapolis. None of these, however, may have been as disrespectful as current Cowboy and former Viking Jayron Kearse sacking Cousins, then celebrating by performing Minnesota’s traditional “Skol” clap.

Brutal. Deserved, but brutal. Kearse wasn’t resigned after his rookie contract expired following four seasons in Minneapolis. The powerful safety has since emerged as a starter in Dallas, providing key playmaking and steady tackling for what’s emerged as a top five Cowboy defense. On Sunday, he recorded his second sack of the 2022 season. And he celebrated that in spectacular fashion in front of some familiar fans.
