USWNT star Alex Morgan reveals she's expecting a baby girl

United States women’s national team superstar Alex Morgan and her husband, Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Servando Carrasco, announced Wednesday that they are expecting their first child in April.

The announcement caps an incredible 2019 for Morgan, who scored six goals in France this summer to help the USWNT capture a fourth Women’s World Cup.

In an interview earlier this year, Morgan said she was looking forward to starting a family, and said she wants her kids to “dream big.”

“Something I would want for my kids is to be confident and dream big, regardless of what obstacles are in the way. That is what I did when I was seven, not even knowing that professional soccer was a possibility. I would love for that message to hit home with them.”
