The Lady Hawks faced another opponent just above them in the conference standings in Hope International. Game one was dictated by starting pitcher Kendra Kuper, who had 2 hits, got on base 3 times, scattered only 4 hits for the Lady Royals and struck out 16 batters for a school record.
The Lady Hawks faced St. Katherine's College in a double header on a hot mid-week battle. SDC opened the scoring in the first with a Shelbi Evans home run and added another run in the second when Kendra Kuper doubled, advanced on Kaylyn Rubalcava's single, and scored on a fielder's choice.
Listen, if you're not an athlete, softball is hard. We're not pretending to be pros or anything, but if we could give one tip to the ball players out there trying to make it to the next base, it would be to slide FEET FIRST if at all possible.
