[Men's Golf] Clark Paces Saint Xavier Mens Golf on Day One of CCAC Championships
Silvis, Ill. – Shooting a round of 80 in the first round Monday, freshman Matthew Clark (LaGrange, Ill./Nazareth Academy) sits in a tie for 29th place overall to lead the Saint Xavier University men's golf team on day one of the two-day Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. The Cougars currently sit in 12th place in the 14-team conference event with a team score of 338. Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) leads the field after round one with a team score of 294. Seniors Bobby Lively (LaGrange, Ill./Nazareth Academy) and Kyle Yaeger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) both shot rounds of 81 Monday to tie for 32nd place in the field of 67 conference golfers. Freshman Kristopher Boddie (Ocoee, Fla./Ocoee) rounds out the SXU golfers who competed Monday shooting a 96 to complete the team score.
