WEST POINT, Ga. – Point University women's basketball coach Tory Wooley has added 5-6 shooting guard Samantha Parker from Station Camp High School and Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tenn, to his 2017-18 squad.  Parker is the fourth player from the 2016-17 Volunteer State squad to sign to play at a four-year school.

"I am excited about adding Samantha with her ability to shoot the basketball at a high level will help our team's perimeter shooting," commented Coach Wooley.  "She will be called upon to simply knock down shots which she does consistently.  Last season, she shot 55 per cent from behind the three-point line, and her ability to fill it up from the perimeter will be exciting to watch.  She is a team player and her upbeat personality will fit right in with the talented returning players."  Point has posted 23 victories in each of the last two seasons, including an overall record of 23-7 and a conference record of 16-6 in 2016-17.
