Woman injured in Schenectady shooting, investigation ongoing

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Schenectady Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Monday night near Watt Street and Tremont Avenue. According to police, a woman was injured in the incident.
Police said around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a female being hot. On scene, they found a woman with a gunshot wound to her leg.
The woman was treated on scene and transported to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said detectives are investigating the incident.
