Troy man accused of shooting, critically injuring brother

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Troy man has been arrested and accused of shooting his brother. Stafon Farrell, 29, was charged with attempted murder and more.
Shortly before 6 p.m. officers responded to a house on 6th Avenue near Glen Avenue on Sunday for reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found a man with serious injuries from a gunshot.
The victim, Farrell's 31 year old brother, is in critical condition at a local hospital. Police said Farrell was found at a nearby store and detained without further incident.

- Second-degree attempted murder
- First-degree assault
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
Officers determined that this incident was an argument between the brothers that escalated and led to violence. Farrell was arraigned and placed in the Rensselaer County Jail.
