2 dead in Fort Ann shooting, suspect arrested

FORT ANN, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two people have died after a shooting in Fort Ann on Thursday night. New York State Police responded to the area of Clay Hill Road for reports of shots fired with injuries around 9 p.m.

Upon arrival, troopers said they found two victims in the roadway. They were taken to Glens Falls Hospital where they were later declared dead. The victims were identified as Marcus Macaulay, 19, and Adam Darrah, 19, both of Glens Falls.

State Police reported that 20-year-old David Larose of Albany was taken into custody in connection to the shooting around 12:48 p.m. on Friday. He was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Larose was held at the Washington County Jail while awaiting arraignment. Anyone with information regarding the ongoing investigation is asked to call (518)457-6811 or email crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
