GAME Of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie has revealed that the show ‘changed her life’ despite agreeing that the workload was ‘designed to break’ its stars.

The actress, 40, who plays Brienne of Tarth in the award winning HBO series, opened up about her experience of shooting the final season during a recent interview.

Gwendoline Christie has revealed that the show ‘changed her life’ despite agreeing that the workload was ‘designed to break’ its stars

She told The Guardian’s Weekend Magazine: “It was just a lot, a lot, a lot. It was a lot!

“Recently, when I met one of her co-stars, Kit Harington , he told me that the work load “seemed to be designed to break us…

“I remember everyone walking around on set towards the end going, ‘I’ve had enough now. I love this, it’s been the best thing in my life, I’ll miss it one day, but I’m done .”

Gwendoline continued to explain that she agreed with her co-star, who plays Jon Snow in the HBO series, and jokingly compared herself to an orange being drained for its juice.

She added: “I agree with Kit. They squeezed the orange. Every last drop of juice out of that orange! And just a husk was left behind.”

During the interview, the actress also revealed that playing the role of warrior Brienne had majorly impacted her life.

She admitted: “That character has changed my life. I feel emotional.”

Gwendoline isn’t the only Game Of Thrones actor who has admitted that she is feeling sad about the end of the show, which has been going since 2011.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, which aired last night, Kit admitted that he was reduced to tears when a fan asked him if he was Jon Snow.

The 32-year-old actor revealed: “I was determined to be cool about the end and decided that when people came up to me and said, ‘Are you Jon Snow?’ that I would say very calmly, ‘I used to be.’

“When I left the set for the final time I was very emotional, and when a girl came up to me and asked the inevitable question, I broke down and cried, ‘I used to be!’ She backed off pretty quickly!”

Kit also said he wept during the show’s final-season table read, telling Entertainment Weekly magazine: “Every season, you read at the end of the last script ‘End of Season One,’ or ‘End of Season Two.’ This read ‘End of Game of Thrones.'”

The final season of Game Of Thrones is set to air in the UK on Monday night.
