Jazz extend winning streak to seven games

Donovan Mitchell and Grayson Allen each scored 23 points to lead the host Utah Jazz to their seventh straight victory, 119-98 over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night.

Allen had his first career 20-point game while shooting 10-for-14 from the field. Mitchell had nine assists, Rudy Gobert added 17 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots, and Joe Ingles also had 17 points in Utah’s 12th victory in 13 games.

Buddy Hield scored 17 points and Marvin Bagley III added 13 points and 12 rebounds for Sacramento, which lost to Utah for the third time this season.

The Kings opened the first quarter by missing nine consecutive shots. Sacramento’s start allowed Utah to race out to a huge lead. Each Jazz starter made a basket to help them score the game’s first 13 points. The Jazz extended the lead to 18-3 on a layup from Mitchell and two free throws from Gobert.

Nuggets 119, Trail Blazers 110: Nikola Jokic scored 10 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and Paul Millsap finished with 25 points as host Denver clinched the Northwest Division title. Denver is assured of at least the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference and can clinch the second seed with two more wins. The Nuggets lead Houston by 1½ games and have played one fewer game than the Rockets.

Lakers 122, Clippers 117: Alex Caruso scored 32 points, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 25 and the Lakers rallied to beat the playoff-bound Clippers.

Thunder 123, Pistons 110: Paul George scored 30 points to propel Oklahoma City at home.

Rockets 120, Knicks 96: James Harden had 26 points, eight assists and eight rebounds in just 29 minutes to lead Houston at home.
