[Men's Basketball] Poor Shooting Dooms Grand View
Des Moines, Iowa – The Vikings men's basketball team fell to the Eagles of Central Methodist University by a final score of 48-60. Grand View displayed a great defensive effort, but could never seem to take the lid off of the hoop. The Vikings are now 6-6 overall and 2-5 in the Heart, while Central Methodist improved to 9-3 overall and 4-3 in conference play.

The Vikings struggled to score the basketball all night. Grand View shot a lowly 31% from the field and 17% from the three-point line.
Grand View's defense kept them in the game even when their offense struggled. The Vikings forced the Eagles to shoot 36% from the floor and 18% from long range.
The Vikings committed 17 turnovers in the contest.
Players of Note…
Casey Schlatter (SR/Iowa Falls, Iowa) led the Vikings in scoring. Schlatter tallied 14 points on 6/14 shooting. The senior also gathered 8 rebounds.
Kory Kuenstling (SR/Dunkerton, Iowa) was the only other Viking to reach double figures. Kuenstling went 4/7 from the floor for 10 points. The senior grabbed 4 boards.
Austin Miller (JR/Mason City, Iowa) came in late in the second half and provided an offensive spark by knocking down a 3.

The Vikings will take a few days off for semester exams and then travel Saturday, December 15th to Olathe, Kansas to take on MidAmerica Nazarene University.
