Alfonzo McKinnie to sign two-way contract with Warriors

The Warriors are expected to sign forward Alfonzo McKinnie to the team’s second and final two-way contract, a team source told The Chronicle.

In four preseason games, McKinnie, 26, has averaged 6.5 points and 4.5 rebounds. Over Golden State’s past two games, he has totaled 21 points on 10-for-15 shooting to go with 10 rebounds.

Under the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement, teams have two spots in addition to the 15-man roster for players to spend up to 45 days with their respective NBA team and the rest of their season with a G League affiliate. Anyone on a two-way contract will make $75,000 in the G League and a prorated portion of the NBA rookie minimum salary for any days with the big club.
