JJ Wants To Re-Up With The Sixers

0
BOSTON, MA - MAY 9: JJ Redick #17 of the Philadelphia 76ers looks on during Game Five of the Eastern Conference Second Round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs at TD Garden on May 9, 2018 in Boston, Massachusetts. The Celtics defeat the 76ers 114-112 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Former Blue Devil was huge for a young Philadelphia team potentially on the cusp of greatness.

At 33, former Duke star JJ Redick is on the backside of his career. His first year with the 76ers worked out brilliantly though and he gave them leadership and superb outside shooting.

That was a one year deal though, although at $23,000,000, that was a pretty great year (Philly played 92 games this year; that works out to $250,000 per game).

Now comes the big question: will he stay there and help try to get the Sixers to the Finals? He says he’d like to.

He probably won’t make that kind of money again but he should do okay. And there’s potentially a second job for him if Philly is smart: we’d certainly pay him to straighten out Ben Simmon’s shot. Who better?
