The Golden Play of the Night: Philly Gets Processed by Excellent Ball Movement

So the Dubs didn't exactly start the night looking like a championship team; they didn't look like they were interested in the game, and the fact that the Sixers were shooting the lights out did not help at all. But the law of averages finally caught up to the Sixers, and the Dubs absolutely RAMPAGED them during one of their signature 3Q runs, unleashing a 47-15 demolition of the Sixers. The 2nd unit came in the 4th quarter and kept things stable enough to secure the comeback win for the Dubs.
For tonight's Golden Play of the Night, I would like to highlight a sequence in which the Dubs used excellent ball movement to score 2 crucial points.

I noticed 2 key aspects of this possession:

1) KD getting good post position. The defender is pretty much at KD's mercy whenever he gets to a good post position, and KD can choose to shoot or pass since he pretty much has a bird's eye view of everything that's happening on the floor because of his height.

2) Steph's gravity. Steph uses Dray's screen to curl, which not only draws his defender but also draws Dray's defender. This leaves Dray open, and when Steph gets the ball, he passes immediately to Dray, who then draws Zaza's defender. Dray, with the lightning quick decision making, immediately passes it to Zaza who makes the easy lay up.

Notice that when Zaza becomes open, Klay's defender thought about helping off of Klay to cover Zaza, but decides against it since, well, it's Klay, and leaving him wide open is like throwing a pitch down the middle for Barry Bonds.

Next up is Brooklyn, and we won't have KD, so it'll be an interesting game, but one that I'm pretty confident that the Dubs will win. Stranger things have happened (ask Will Byers), but the Dubs have this one. I'll do another Golden Play analysis for that game, as always. Till then, have a great day!
