[Women's Basketball] SU Tops USK in Qualifier Tournament Opener

Simpson used its size and strength to finally put away a pesky Saint Katherine squad and earn a 61-51 victory in the opening game of the California Pacific Conference NAIA Qualifier Tournament in San Marcos, Calif.  The Red Hawks constantly drove to the basket and controlled the inside, wearing down a determined Firebird team that stayed within striking distance for three-plus quarters with timely shooting and defensive pressure.
