Motive unknown for deadly Las Vegas concert shooting: sheriff

No motive has yet been determined for last year's massacre of 58 people at an outdoor country music concert in Las Vegas, the deadliest mass shooting in recent US history, officials said Friday. Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old former accountant, acted alone but the authorities do not know why he carried out the attack. "What we have not been able to definitively answer is the 'why' Stephen Paddock committed this act," Lombardo told a press conference as he released the final police report into the shooting.
