I would agree with all 3 points; 1 is definitely an issue that should be resolved, starting with scrapping the stupid Easter programme, and ditching magic weekend as an extra round.
The 2nd point is a salary cap working as it should, so I've no issues with that.
The 3rd is the main issue - the game is a lawless mess in large part, and because officials manage the ruck in completely different ways, sometimes within a single game, players and coaches are pushing the envelope even further in an attempt to exploit the lack of clarity. That would be very easy to fix, were the RFL minded to do so.
i disagree its the SC working as it should. A working SC should stop the bigger clubs hoarding the best talents and ensure they are spread around but it doesnt really do that. Big players dont really move between clubs, the big clubs can keep the players they want to keep.
It can't be healthy for clubs to be going in to seasons with no specialist back up at Centre, halfback or hooker.
I also dont think its beneficial for player development that we prioritise utility over specialist quality. Even some of our better players in the specialist positions are getting to 23/24 without us knowing if they are a fullback or a halfback, a Centre or a second rower.
