Pontypridd to face Jersey in a Pre-Season friendly on Saturday 15th August

Pontypridd RFC are very pleased to announce a pre-season match away against Jersey RFC on Saturday 15th August 2026 at St. Peter.

The match is part of the Club’s 150th Anniversary Season celebrations and will provide a first trip abroad for the Valley Commandos for a number of years. Many of you will remember the last and only time the team played against Jersey at St. Peter – Saturday 13th October 2012 in the British and Irish Cup.

As well as playing a key part in Ponty’s pre-season preparations ahead of next season, the match will also give supporters a chance to enjoy a weekend away on a fantastic island watching their team.

After Pontypridd’s final Premiership match of the season, next Saturday 9th May against Brecon, there will be an auction in the Clubhouse at Sardis Road. The team’s home match shirts will be auctioned off with the funds going towards the playing squad’s travel funds for the Jersey fixture. We have held a few of these auctions over the past few seasons and they have always proved popular and provide supporters with a chance of owning a piece of authentic Pontypridd RFC memorabilia.
