Two Matches in Six Days – Believe The Hype!

0 11

The festive period is well underway and so are the preparations for Pontypridd RFC’s two home matches either side of Christmas Day.

Both enquiries and the demand for tickets for these fixtures have been higher than many a year as the Valley Commandos prepare to welcome two neighbouring teams to Sardis Road – Ystrad Rhondda on Saturday 20th December and Beddau on Boxing Day Friday 26th December.

There are plans afoot to transform the ground at Sardis Road – a marquee is to be erected outside the main Clubhouse, and there will be extra pop-up bars installed within the confines on the stadium, such are the expected bumper crowds for both derby matches.

Saturday 20th December is the Club’s official designated Christmas Jumper Day, and the Pontypridd Male Voice Choir will be singing in the Clubhouse post-match as well.

With two very large crowds expected we are anticipating there could be long queues at the ticket booth on both afternoon’s prior to kick-off, so the Club are a recommending that supporters of all three clubs use our e-ticketing service to help with congestion on both the 20th and 26th – Pontypridd RFC’s e-Ticketing Link

Pontypridd, Ystrad Rhondda and Beddau are all enjoying fine Premiership campaigns to date, with the three clubs currently sitting in 2nd, 5th and 3rd in the standings respectively.

The Sardis Road Stadium and bars will be open from midday for both matches with a selection of live festive sport on the screens to entertain you all before and after both matches as well. Please note that even more details will be published in our Matchday Previews in the build up to each game.

Club rugby is certainly alive and kicking in this part of South Wales, and both matches will no doubt be brilliant occasions – Believe The Hype!
