What a fantastic tournament!
Wee Reds P4 match report
Sunday 2nd February 2025
The Wee Reds P4 minis welcomed both Edinburgh Accies and Livingston to Linlithgow rugby football club. Very well known and strong teams
The weather was on our side – a nice dry Sunday morning despite the bitterly cold winds. Both clubs turned up with enough players to make 2 teams of 6 with rolling subs so we were able to run 3 pitches with 6 teams playing against each other allowing our boys plenty of play.
The 2 Wee Reds teams played outstandingly against their opposition & it was great to see such skill on show from such young players with everyone playing their roles in the matches. It was fantastic to see them pushing forward, driving opposition back and with quick hands the Wee Reds P4s quickly dominated in all their games. Some first class tries, Toby landed before the try line but a quick stretch and turn scored a try.
With 2 new members on the team and their first game they took the game by storm and got right in making tackles and runs for the team with great effort and smiles on their faces. In fact the pitches were full of happy and determined players and once again we were delighted to see the club’s future 1st XV players.
After the games all the kids, coaches and parents joined in the club house to warm up and enjoy some sausage rolls and pies together and remark on the skills shown on the pitch.
We had great oppositions and fantastic to see all the skills are very well balanced. Coaches from Livingston and Edinburgh Accies are very friendly a great day and many more to come.
We wish to thank all our volunteers from all the parents who all helped to make the day a success.
