Supporters Coach to Tenby – Take Two

We are pleased to announce that demand for travel to Ponty’s pre-season match away at Tenby United has been so great that the Pontypridd RFC Supporters Club are organising a second coach – Phil Lycett is now taking additional names, more information is below.

It was recently announced that Pontypridd RFC’s 2024 pre-season itinerary included a trip to Pembrokeshire to play Tenby United RFC with the match taking place on Saturday 10th August.

Tenby United’s Heywood Lane ground is just outside the town centre, and there will be an exciting double-header of matches taking place on the day – Tenby and Ponty’s senior sides kick off the day’s action at 2:00pm, and this match will be followed by both clubs’ Youth sides facing off at 4:00pm.

With that schedule in mind, the plan is for the supporters buses to leave Sardis Road at 9:30am and it will head into Tenby town centre so that supporters can have a drink or two in Tenby United RFC’s clubhouse. The buses will then head to Heywood Lane for the matches before once again returning to the clubhouse to enjoy the host club’s hospitality for an hour or two before departure back to Pontypridd.

It may be a new season but travelling on Edwards Coaches continues to be a comfortable and convenient way for Ponty fans to travel and support the team, so booking onto the supporters buses is highly recommended.

As previously mentioned the buses will leave Sardis Road at 9:30am ahead of the 2:00pm kick-off. Post-match the buses will leave Tenby town centre Saturday evening but please note, these times may be subject to change – should this happen supporters will be notified in plenty of time before the match.
