My perceptions on where BA is at.

I don,t want to be unkind to the guy but as someone who is not close to the frontline all I can go on is an outsiders perception. I have supported BA for quite a while now as I have seen some good fundamental principles with him. I think he is putting a lot of effort into doing what he is capable of in trying to get into a winning cycle. No question about that. What concerns me now is that players will start to get frustrated that we are not doing well and start [laying the blame game. Not sure whether BA has reached his full potential now and has reached his limits at this level Last year we played a style with a lot of composure--basically with much the same players we have now. This year we have got into a rut without much attempt to alter a losing playing style. We seem to play to same routine week in week out. Not sure if it is the players who can,t adapt to BA, instructions or game plan or the game plan is simply wrong. Has BA reached the limits of his coaching prowess is becoming frustrated and tightening up which is affecting players from taking some risks with a more freewheeling approach. I have spoken about mental training as being a crucial part of high performance sport. Not sure if BA has addressed this but it has been a big factor for us with discipline, silly errors and impulse control training.and 80 minute focus.I think he may not have a expansionary type ability to grow to a higher level If BA,s time runs out I wouldn,t go back to the Haslers and other names bandied about. I would look at a younger person with some professional study at an academic level in sports science. Someone who is open to the full range of disciplines around in Sports science, Communication and a sixth sense of being a born coach is the characteristic I would be looking for. Not necessarily an ex player. I think we need to be going into the realms of looking at a different breed of coach rather than the old formulaeThe game today is evolving into new ground and we need to be one step aheadSee More
