Kangeiko* at the Beach in Santa Cruz on Sunday, Feb 9 (AKA Superbowl Sunday)
Open to all Karate people in the area! Free!
*”Kangeiko” literally means “cold training” and is typically done outside during the coldest time of the year. In the past, we have done this at the dojo and the last few years over Zoom. This year, we will be doing it on the beach! *Please note that the plan this time started with Sensei Pete Rabbitt, who teaches at Foothill College. It was originally an idea for his dojo but the two of us decided to combine and invite everyone in the area to join us.
Training will begin at 10:00am on Sunday, February 11, at Twin Lakes Beach, on the east side of Santa Cruz. Parking can be time-consuming in this area. Please plan to walk a little to get to the beach and then look around for us. Not yet sure what area we will end up at but probably somewhere toward the middle of the beach (you’ll probably have no problem finding us).

Karate-gi (uniform) optional.
