JONNY EVANS rescued a point for Leicester against ten-man Southampton in a blow to tightening their grip on a top-four finish.

Saints defender Jannik Vestergaard was sent off with just ten minutes on the clock.

But man-of-the-moment Kelechi Iheanacho gave away a penalty for a blatant handball on the hour mark.

James Ward-Prowse made no mistake from 12 yards but seven minutes later Evans headed in from Iheanacho’s cross.

The Foxes huffed and puffed in front of goal but could not find a winner on the ground they smashed in nine at last season.
