FA Cup Replays

So after mini krooners cricket was called off a last minute dash down the M3 to Blackfield & Langley for our Cup Replay.

We started brightly and hit the post early on but by half time we were one down to a penalty.  Clearly a foul but the referee gave a free kick before sprinting 15 yards and suddenly giving a penalty.  2nd half saw the home side put more pressure on us and when they were awarded another penalty for handball which was missed.  This seemed to rattle them and wake us up and not long after they were reduced to 10 men, not before time in all honesty and from that point it was a matter if we could score which we did through Chris Ellis.  We couldn't force a winner in normal time but in all truth we dominated extra time scoring with 10 minutes to go and holding on fairly comfortably in the end. 

How I have missed watching players demand cards for every little touch.  Best one last night was the home 6.  First tackle and he was in the refs face getting our player booked.  Then screamed and dived to try and get another booked at which the referee laughed at him instead of cautioning him.  Then got cautioned himself for an exact replica of the first tackle our player got cautioned for and he moaned.  Then in the 2nd half and extra time he committed at least 2 similar tackles as well as numerous other infringements.  Amazed he was still on the pitch !

Anyway a pretty decent evening for CCL clubs in the Replays and well done to all of the teams who got through.
