26/11/16 – Poole Town 1 V Weymouth 1

The return of “El Jurassico” saw local rivals Poole face Weymouth in the FA Trophy third qualifying round with Poole snatching a late equaliser. Weymouth were the better team for large parts of the first half.  Poole had a good early effort when Brooks set up Burbidge whose shot was tipped over by Matthews.  Weymouth grew in to the game and looked dangerous down both wings.  Their goal came on 33 minutes from a strong run down the right wing by Thomson whose cross was met in the centre by Evans whose header could not be kept out by Hutchings.  […]
