Job Advert – Head of Player Recruitment
The Head of Player Recruitment will lead in identifying, evaluating, and acquiring players who align with the club’s footballing philosophy, budget, and long-term vision.
The Head of Player Recruitment will integrate traditional scouting expertise with modern data analytics and video scouting, to develop a squad capable of achieving the club’s ambitions.
Reporting to the First Team Manager, with Board level oversight, they will also work closely with the Academy Manager to assess squad needs and plan future recruitment.
The Head of Player Recruitment will regularly attend opposition games in order to present analysis in advance of upcoming games. They will also attend games across the island of Ireland with a view to networking and identifying potential future players for Derry City Football Club.
The successful applicant must have experience as a football player at a high level as well as some experience in football recruitment, scouting, or player analysis with a desire to help Derry City Football Club build for the future.
