Confirmed Man United XI vs Leeds: Carrick makes four changes, Mainoo out & Mbeumo dropped

0 1

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has named his starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Leeds United at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have jumped to third place in the Premier League table, and another victory could take them even closer to securing UEFA Champions League football for next season.

Carrick has made four changes to his starting XI that drew 2-2 against Bournemouth last month.

Senne Lammens starts between the sticks and will aim to keep his sixth clean sheet today.

Diogo Dalot did not travel with the United squad for their four-day intensive training camp due to illness.

He is available on the bench but Noussair Mazraoui Mazraoui has replaced him at right-back. Luke Shaw retains his spot on the left side.

Leny Yoro keeps his place, with Lisandro Martinez partnering him at the back. Harry Maguire is suspended for the clip after picking up a straight red card against the Cherries.

Carrick has finally made a change in his midfield department.

Kobbie Mainoo is unavailable for the clash, allowing Manuel Ugarte to get his maiden start under the interim manager.

He is paired with Casemiro in the centre.

Bruno Fernandes is just four assists away from writing his name in the history books. He starts in the number 10 role.

Matheus Cunha has really improved his performances on the left-wing. His fighting character will be crucial against the Whites.

Amad Diallo will look to inject creativity from the right flank. Benjamin Sesko will lead the attack, with Bryan Mbeumo dropping to the bench.

Tyler Fletcher and Shea Lacey are two academy stars on the bench.

Confirmed Man United line-up (4-2-3-1): Senne Lammens; Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw; Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte; Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Amad Diallo; Benjamin Sesko
