Man United closing in on full strength at perfect time for a season-defining run

0 9

Manchester United interim head coach Michael Carrick is gearing up to lead his side through the decisive final seven games of the 2025-26 campaign.

Injuries are the worst nightmare for any manager, especially when they affect key players.

Results have improved for United under Carrick, with seven wins, two draws and one defeat in the first 10 games.

The squad is currently in the Republic of Ireland, undergoing an intensive four-day training camp to fine-tune their preparations.

Carrick would be delighted to see Patrick Dorgu and Lisandro Martinez in the training squad. The Argentina international also took part in the team training session yesterday.

Martinez suffered a calf injury in February, which forced him to miss out on the last five games.

His timely return comes as a huge boost, particularly with Harry Maguire suspended for the upcoming clash against Leeds United on April 13.

We expect Martinez to replace Maguire in the starting XI.

Dorgu is yet to rejoin full team training, but a return to action later this month remains on the cards.

After missing six games due to a knock, Mason Mount made a substitute appearance against the Cherries.

The former Chelsea star enjoyed a bright start to this season but his influence has cooled off due to injuries.

He will now be eager to finish the campaign strongly and silence any doubts surrounding his long-term future at the club.

Diogo Dalot has not travelled with the squad due to illness, though he is expected to recover in time for the Leeds fixture.

Matthijs de Ligt appears to be the only player who may not feature again this season.

The Dutch defender has been sidelined since November 30 due to persistent back issues, with multiple setbacks delaying his comeback.

Many believed he would return in February but suffered setbacks in his recovery.

Carrick now has a close to full squad to fight in the last seven games.

Securing Champions League qualification remains the ultimate objective, with the Red Devils currently sitting comfortably in third place in the Premier League standings.
