Buses in parts of Australia are now free, to encourage people to save fuel, which is running drastically short due to Iran war, something we may see in the UK if it drags on.

Up here in Scotland, the wife and I have started to use our national entitlement cards. Free bus travel through out Scotland and many areas offer train discounts. We get £1 per train journey in Fife. Check to see if you have a similar schemes locally.

Last week the wife had a business meeting in Edinburgh, caught the bus at the bottom of the road that went directly there. She said it was a no brainer and no slower than driving or cycling to the station to get the train.
