Key info: Sheppey United U23s
It’s first versus third as Maidstone United under-23s welcome Sheppey United to the Gallagher Stadium for their final home game of the season.
The Ites sit ten points behind the Stones having played one game more. From their 19 fixtures, they have won 10, drawn three and lost six. Their most recent outing, two weeks ago, ended in a 3-0 victory over Bearsted.
Nathan Baker’s side also beat Bearsted last week, winning 5-2 to end a run of three games without a win. A Delvane Kattah brace, along with goals from Malachi Mbogba, Kaelem Sobhee-Turner and Mark Boruk, secured a welcome three points.
The race for the title is now down to two teams: Maidstone and Hastings. Margate, who led the division for the first few months of the season, completed their league campaign last Friday with a 6-1 win against Deal Town but finished on 41 points – two behind Maidstone’s current tally.
With no midweek first-team game, make sure to get down to the Gallagher and get behind the under-23s.
