Back three (18 replies)

I think I'm willing to admit that experimenting with 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 at this stage wasn't actually a good idea.

The selection today and approach to the game is some way off what I think would've made it work for us, but it's fair to say that the change has made us worse rather than better.

I'd still like to see more flexibility in how we approach games and the questions we ask of opponents - but changing shape requires proper work on different systems. Now wasn't the time. I hold my hands up on that one.

Maybe something for the manager (whoever that is may be) to work on more purposefully in preseason.
