Michael Carrick handed huge advantage after double Bournemouth injury blow

Manchester United have received a major boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Bournemouth tomorrow.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has confirmed that midfield duo Tyler Adams and Lewis Cook will not be available for this crucial contest.

Iraola said in his pre-match press conference: “Tyler is not going to be available, as you suppose, because he hasn’t been in the squad for the US. Lewis Cook is still not ready.”

Cook has played an important role in 2026 for the Cherries but has missed the last four games due to a hamstring injury.

While the pair offer defensive stability, progressing the ball quickly through central areas could prove a challenge.

The onus could be on their explosive wingers to carry the team forward and serve as an outlet when they are pinned back.

Casemiro took responsibility for playing passes forward against Aston Villa. He could be given that task again so that Bruno Fernandes remains closer to the penalty area, where he is most dangerous.
