Four Man Utd players poised for summer exit, rising academy star set to earn big promotion

0 2

Manchester United are bracing for a ruthless overhaul in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, Man United will look to offload four goalkeepers this summer.

Andre Onana is currently on a season-long loan at Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

The club are expected to hold crucial talks before the end of the campaign to determine his fate once and for all.

Due to the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), United must secure a fee of at least £18.88 million to avoid taking a financial hit.

Signed as the successor to David de Gea, the 29-year-old has endured two underwhelming spells, failing to live up to expectations at the club.

Altay Bayindir is also heading towards the exit.

Besiktas made an approach for the Turkish international in January but United blocked the transfer as they wanted him to provide cover for Senne Lammens.

Former manager Ruben Amorim handed Bayindir opportunities early in the season, yet the goalkeeper struggled to inspire confidence between the posts.

Veteran Tom Heaton remains a respected figure in the dressing room, but with his 40th birthday approaching, retirement could now be imminent.

Reserve shot-stopper Dermot Mee could also be released.

The report also suggests that highly-rated youngster Radek Vitek could be promoted to the senior setup.

Currently on loan at Bristol City, Vitek has caught the eye with a series of impressive shot-stopping displays.

United consider the 22-year-old to have a “genuine future first-team potential” and to be a serious contender for the number one spot alongside Lammens.

The Czech Under-21 international is under contract at United until 2027 and could be offered a new deal this summer.

Initially signed as a back-up, Vitek quickly forced his way into the starting XI at Bristol City with commanding performances.

Across 33 league appearances, he has recorded nine clean sheets and boasts an impressive 70% save percentage. For comparison, Lammens trails with a 64% save rate and five clean sheets in 24 matches.
