Duncan arrives on loan
The 19-year-old joins The Yellows from the Championship side’s Academy set-up and goes straight into the squad for tonight’s trip to Bath City.
A product of the Bristol City Academy, Duncan has been with the Robins since the age of 11 after previously spending time with Cardiff City in his youth career.
The Bristol-born goalkeeper signed his first professional contract at Ashton Gate in July 2023 after progressing through their Academy ranks.
His development has continued since, and in June 2025 Joe committed his future to The Robins by signing a new two-year contract running to the summer of 2027.
Duncan has also gained valuable experience in senior football during a previous loan spell with Tiverton Town, as he continues his progression within The Robins’ pathway.
Eligible internationally for Jamaica, the young goalkeeper has also been called up to The Reggae Boyz’s Under 23 squad during the early stages of his career.
Manager Spencer Day added: “Welcome to Joe who comes with glowing references after a three month spell last season at Step 3, where he was voted player of the month every month!
“A keeper with a huge future ahead of him. Thank you to everyone involved and he gives us further strength in the goalkeeping department.”
Joe will wear shirt number 14.
