Welcome Back to Aware Scotland
QUEEN’S PARK FC is looking forward to welcoming our latest community ticket partners, Aware Scotland, to The city Stadium.
The charity has a close association to the club as charity partners, supported by club partners and sponsors Dunns Food and Drinks, with vice captain Louis Longridge also a long-term supporter and volunteer of the charity.
Louis was recently named volunteer of the month by Aware and said: “I’m truly humbled to receive the volunteer of the month award with such an amazing charity in AWARE Scotland .
“I’m so grateful to be part of this incredible charity and can’t wait to keep showing up for these young people who deserve every chance to thrive. They are an inspiration and are a reminder of what’s possible beyond limitations.
“If anyone is looking for a meaningful way to give back, I highly recommend getting involved with Aware Scotland – the rewards are immeasurable.”
Naming Louis as the award winner, the charity wrote: “We’re delighted to recognise Louis as our Volunteer of the Month for February.
“Alongside his commitments as a full-time footballer with Queen’s Park, Louis Longridge continues to give his time generously to support our young people. He is consistently engaged, approachable, and a fantastic role model, with many of the young people looking up to him both on and off the pitch. He has even converted a number of them into Spiders supporters!
“Louis also took part in the Great Scottish Run, raising significant funds to help us continue delivering free activities for disabled and disadvantaged young people.
“We’re incredibly grateful for your support, Louis – thank you and well done.”
As community partners, Aware Scotland will receive tickets to this weekend’s match with Airdrie and will also be represented by two match mascots – Kevin Spellacy and Katy Curran.
Head of commercial at Queen’s Park, Kieran Koszary said: “We are delighted to welcome the team at Aware Scotland to our match with Airdrie.
“Aware is a fantastic charity and we have enjoyed working with Chris and the team at various points throughout recent seasons as a charity partner and through our partnership with Dunns with players, and Louis in particular supporting the charity with football coaching sessions.
“We look forward to seeing the young people and hope Kevin and Katy enjoy their day as mascots.”
