Champions League: Five teams for two spots in Serie A – fixture list compared

0 1

Five Serie A teams battle for two Champions League spots: here’s the fixture list, compared, for Napoli, Roma, Como, Juventus and Atalanta.

With Inter seemingly running alone for the Serie A title and second-placed Milan having built a nine-point lead over fifth-placed Como, two Champions League spots remain vacant, and five Serie A teams are still running for the top four.

Napoli sit third with 53 points in the Serie A standings, Roma follow in fourth with 51, Como have 48, Juventus have 47, and Atalanta have 45.

La Dea are the only team still involved in three competitions, having qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 and the Coppa Italia semifinals.

Roma and Como are involved in the Europa League and Coppa Italia, respectively, while Napoli and Juventus only have Serie A left to play for.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has compared the fixture list of the five Serie A contenders for a Champions League spot, and you can check their schedule below.

Don’t forget that Serie A could still get an extra Champions League spot if they finish in the top two in the UEFA coefficient ranking. Serie A is not far behind second-placed Germany, but it has only four representatives left in European competitions this term.
