LA Daily News’ roundup of the CIF-SS, L.A. City boys and girls soccer finals
Three soccer teams from the Daily News area earned spots in CIF Southern Section championship games, but only two of those teams got to play Saturday.
Calabasas’ boys team withdrew from the CIF-SS Division 3 title game Friday and forfeited Saturday’s final to Los Alamitos. According to a press release from the CIF-SS, Calabasas self-reported that it had discovered one of its players was ineligible player during the postseason. The violation automatically gave Los Alamitos the section title.
The girls teams for Buckley and Crescenta Valley both made it to the CIF-SS finals, but both teams lost in their games by 4-0 scores.
